Fun fact: School Should Be was originally meant to be a book club and blog about all the books students should be reading at school. The current curriculum is filled with canonical and wonderful literature, but much of it feels irrelevant for students, and a nightmare for teachers and parents as they continually try to engage young people.  

 

We expect our teachers to always be ready and waiting with book recommendations, but that's a lot of pressure, especially when most teachers are absorbed by what they teach! The SSB Book Hub is here to help!

 

Our book recommendations aim to encourage young people to look at the world, work, learning and life through a variety of lenses. We select engaging books which you'll never want to stop reading by authors who you'll want to hear from time and time again.
